Holidays

Opposite is a picture of Douglas's first holiday weekend held in Loch Earn in June of 2000. Since then Douglas has run many more, usually about 3 a year. The weekends are relaxed and friendly, with the emphasis on fun. Below are some images from the latest weekend held at Loch Fyne on June 2nd-4th 2006 as well as some from previous weekends.

The Loch Fyne Vase was won by Dave & Shona Anderson. On the hand below the winners showed good bidding judgement. All the other N/S's made a non forcing rebid of 3 and played there, Dave's practical rebid of 3nt got him to the easy game. 11 tricks were easy, a defensive slip enabled him to make 12 for all the matchpoints. Other successes are given further below;

Feedback;
Given the choice between a threesome with Nicole Kidman, Cameron Diaz and myself and
going on a Douglas Piper Bridge weekend, I'd choose the weekend everytime...............Gerald
