Douglas teaches Scottish Bridge Union standard basic
ACOL with a 12-14pt No-Trump.
Lessons generally begin with a theory session on the topic being covered followed by pupils playing hands carefully created to reinforce the teaching. Coloured handouts and tutorials are included in each lesson.
Courses run for 10 weeks from September and January, and for 6 weeks from April. Players needing specific improvement can buy into individual lessons. Private lessons can also be arranged.

Tournaments are scored on the night, a handout detailing correct bidding, play technique and opening lead is given out after each competition. The results are posted on the web the same day and are featured in Results as well as written up in Weekly Hands .
